Kill-A-Watt Program
Owners of FNSB Public Library cards can check out Kill A Watt energy usage monitors designed to measure the amount of electricity being used by specific home appliances. Ten monitors have been donated by the Golden Valley Electric Association for library patrons to borrow through the public library for seven days. The devices, which come with instructions, are available at the Reference Desks at Noel Wien Library and North Pole Branch Library, and can be reserved through the library's online public catalog.

School is starting up and parents of students are once again faced with helping their children with homework assignments. If you’ve had trouble recalling lessons from your school days, the “Live Homework Help” website (the icon is found towards the bottom-left of this screen) can provide professional tutors to help. The on-line tutors are careful to help students without simply giving the answers, and if you like the tutor, you can schedule future tutoring appointments. The subjects cover math, English, social studies and science from grade K-12, and even some lower-level college classes |
